‘There is a much higher power than even all of Congress and the president combined,’
Judge Phil Ginn warns
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The House of Representatives recently passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which aims to protect babies who survive an abortion while condemning violence against pro-life charities and churches. The bill passed with a vote of 220 affirmations comprising of every Republican House member and one Democrat. If enacted, the act would require an abortion provider to try to save the life of a baby who survives an abortion procedure. Health providers would be required to exercise the same degree of care provided to any other child born alive at the same gestational age, as well as ensure that these survivors are admitted to a hospital. However, this positive move from the House is expected to be shot down in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
Judge Phil Ginn, president of Southern Evangelical Seminary, commented on the passing of the bill, noting that the inevitability of the bill being vetoed by the Senate or President Biden reveals the true depth of depravity in American politics.
Ginn explained, “The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill this past Wednesday to protect human babies who survive an abortion. At the same time, the bill also condemned violence against pro-life clinics. I normally try to refrain from specifically calling out individual politicians or even political parties. Nevertheless, what should have been a ‘no brainer’ decision inexplicably passed only along party lines with one lone daring democratic representative voting in favor. Obviously, the legislation has little chance of becoming law because if it is somehow able to get through the meat grinder of the democratic controlled Senate, a sure veto awaits its arrival on the desk of President Biden.
“The most regrettable part of this process, however, was the unnecessarily absurd reaction of the democratic leadership in the House and even in the Senate. Vice President Harris perhaps summed up the opposition point of view by tweeting, ‘This is yet another attempt by Republican legislators to control women’s bodies.’
Say what? A bill which holds that a child who has been born alive despite the best efforts of a supposed doctor to kill him or her somehow is an attack on a woman’s body from which the child has just been torn? These are the same folks who would be quick to save every species of animal and plant known to man with the sole exception of a human baby. Then, it was good ol’ Jerry Nadler who had the unmitigated gall to opine that trying to save the life of a victim of abortion who had survived the attempted individual holocaust was ‘not good for the child.’”
Ginn continued, “The prophet Isaiah ran into some of the same type of incomprehensibly idiotic philosophy in his day. Listen to his words from the fifth chapter of his prophecy, inspired by a Holy God: ‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.’
“At Southern Evangelical Seminary we believe that there is a much higher power than even all of Congress and the president combined. Jesus made the claim to be God and showed by His life, His words, and His miracles that He spoke the truth. Not only did He speak the truth, but He is THE truth.
“Maybe in their self-righteousness, those politicians who fit the description of Isaiah’s prophecy should remember these words of Jesus: ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’
“Southern Evangelical Seminary has been standing in the truth of the Gospel message now for over 30 years. Here we will steadfastly continue to stand until the Lord calls us home. May God be merciful to America!”
