Dr. Stephen Cutchins

Adjunct Faculty - Pastoral Leadership, Executive Director - Truth That Matters

Bio

Dr. Stephen Cutchins earned a Doctorate of Ministry from Southern Evangelical Seminary in 2012 and joined the Board of Trustees in 2021. Stephen currently lives in the home of the Masters Golf Tournament, Augusta, GA, with his wife, Wendy, and his two daughters, Madelyn and Sarah. He is currently completing the Ph.D. in Leadership Studies program at Dallas Baptist University. As the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church North Augusta, he serves on the Executive Board of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and the Chairman of the Priority Advance Committee. In 2022, Dr. Cutchins began coaching pastors from around the country as a Pastoral Leadership Development Coach for the North American Mission Board’s Leadership Institute for Pastors. Stephen also serves as Advisory Board Chairman and Principal Consultant with Dwight Whitworth & Company, based in Tennessee.

Dr. Cutchins is the author of Prove It – Defend the Christian Faith, co-author of Green Hearts – God’s Goodness in the Worst of Times, and a contributing author for the 2016 Nelson’s Annual Preacher’s Sourcebook.
