Bio

J. Warner Wallace is a cold-case homicide detective, popular national speaker and author. He continues to consult on cold-case investigations while serving as a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, and an adjunct professor of apologetics at Biola University. J. Warner’s professional investigative work has received national recognition; his cases have been featured on NBC’s Dateline, TruTV and Fox News. He appears on television occasionally as an investigative consultant (i.e. REELZChannel’s Behind the Screams), and has been featured as an expert in a number of documentaries such as Mining for God and Jesus Revealed. He also had a role in God’s Not Dead 2.

Part of a three-generation police family, with 25 years’ experience in law enforcement, including the Metro Team, Gang Detail, Crime Impact Team, SWAT, Intelligence Detail, and the Robbery-Homicide Unit. Founding member of the Cold-Case Homicide Unit.

His cases have been featured on Dateline more than any other detective in the country. Successfully investigated and prosecuted every cold-case suspect, including one represented by Robert Shapiro (featured on Dateline).

Awarded “Honor Cadet” status twice in the explorer and police academy. Received the Cops-West award for cold-case investigation of the year, five departmental and two inter-departmental commendations for investigations, a congressional commendation, and the South Bay Police and Fire Medal of Valor Sustained Superiority Award.
