Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1. Do I have to be a student?
A: Yes. We have two student types at our seminary. The first are students who are degree seeking students taking classes for ‘degree credit.’ The second are ‘non-degree seeking students.’ Non-degree seeking students can take classes for audit credit at a significantly reduced rate of tuition (90% off of degree credit costs).*
*After course fees the total cost of an audit for credit class is $185. email dnewman@staging.ses.edu for itemized expenses.
Q2. How do I apply?
A: By clicking the following link, you will be taken to the schools application page. Once there fill out the necessary information and you will receive an application form from our automated system.
Q3. I am an alumnus. Can I still take classes?
A: Yes you can still enroll in these classes. However, depending on when you graduated you may no longer have access within your student account to enroll yourself in classes. If this is the case, contact the Registrar at Dpotter@staging.ses.edu
Q4. What is the difference between ‘Online’ and ‘Live-Streaming’?
A: ‘Online’ means the lectures are pre-recorded. ‘Live-Streaming’ courses are, as their name indicates, ‘Live.’ This means that you can ask questions of your professor during lecture even though you may be off-campus while viewing the lecture (This assumes that your computer meets the requirements of having speakers, a mic, and an internet connection).
Q5. When is the last day to register for classes?
A. The last day to take register for a summer module is at 11:59pm on the first day of the class of your choice. For example New Religious Movements is offered on May 2nd-7th. The last day to register for this class is on May 2nd @ 11:59pm.
